  1. No.  Either they interlock or overlap.

  2. My son tells me that none play with a baseball grip although some have spent a season or so trying it - not sure about fred couples - think he did for a while but not sure if he still uses it.

my son started playing age 4 with a baseball grip (taught by his dad cos he had such small hands and he tought it woudl give him more power) - he is now 11 and still uses that grip - he tried to switch a couple of years ago but lost his confidence so switched back with great results

When he was young and first going to tournaments other kids would take the mickey in the practice nets when he was warming up - now he plays off 4 and plays for the county they do not take the mickey so much.

His aim is to be the first player to win the Open with a baseball grip.

My daughter started playing two years ago with a baseball grip - she is 9 and plays off 23 at the mo but she tells me she will beat her brother one day off scratch - go girl!

  3. Our usual club champion does and he is a h**l of a good  golfer at times.  He used to kill the ball when he was younger and his neck wasn't injured.

  4. Oh my gosh, when I first started playing I tried to swing hard and fast like my softball days and my grip was ridiculous! Like a bat, when I finally got it through my thick skull to grip the club like a golf club instead of a bat I dropped so many strokes off my game my friends thought I was messing with them when we added up our scores!

Golf is golf. Baseball is baseball!

  5. There may be someone, but I don't know of any professional golfer that uses the baseball grip. It is either the interlocking or overlapping grip. You lose too much control with the baseball grip.

  6. NO.  Not one.

  7. No, but many of the greats use the monkey grip.

  8. Bob Estes has also used the grip.

    Michael Kosmala

  9. Mate don't listen to them, its a pretty rare thing but a number of golfers do it.

    Fred Couples

    Peter Baker

Darren Clarke (Although I think he's changed now)
