"real" swimmers still wear speedo's in australia.

if you are taking lessons then i reccommend speedos, boardshorts will weigh you down and slow you down.  Not to mention when the boardshorts pockets fill with air you look fat and if you squeeze them under water it looks like your farting.

In Oz, I don't even think boardies are sold. Speedo briefs all the time for guys.

Every time I have been to Oz that is the way to go.

Yes first of all. But what you wear doesn't make the person you are, it's what you do and how you act that makes you the person you are. As for the Speedos, most professional athletes still wear it today!

Yes, speedos are best for swimming and they're still worn by professional swimmers. They're not that bad, as long as they're dark and they don't reveal too much otherwise you'll be labeled an exhibitionist.

buh if you feel a little self conscince you can buy like short that are like bike short but in the same material as speedos. most of the guys at my club race in those bathers

yea real swimmers do or they wear jammers. I dont get how to swim fast with shorts on so much drag.

most professionals swimmers wear either speedos, or 600 dollar Speedo LZR fastskins

as long as your ashamed of your johnson then your fine. The comment about the LZR is spoken by a true dipsh1t. Those are only for competition

As a swimming teacher  i can tell you that you should wear the speedo's. if you're feeling self consious then wear shorts to the pool and take the shorts off just prior to getting in. noone will even look side ways at you. good luck with your lessons.

Unfortunately yes. You swim a lot faster if you have a speedo on and not a regular bathingsuit. A regular bathingsuit will slow you down. Good Luck.
