Do men and women cheat for different reasons

Studies have shown that the woman usually cheats first and then the man gets disgruntled when he comes home and there is no meal ready for him.

So then he finds another lady to make dinner.

The conventional wisdom is that men cheat for s*x and women cheat for emotional fulfillment, but I think those are stereotypes painted to keep everybody in their little box.

Most people seem to cheat out of relationship boredom, one way or another.

I cheat because i am greedy, and like a variety. Most times, it takes a while to give into that temptation, but then, i always do. At the end of the day, my reason for cheating, as a woman, is out of nature, i've alwys been that way. I havent found a good raseon to stay faithful. Hope that helps..

Some women I know cheated their husbadns (one night stand  or for a very short period of time ) when they discovered their husbands had a second love  and after fullfilling their desire for revenge , returned home  to go on with life and children without telling a word to their husbands because they didn't want to ruin everything and went on playing the idiot wife. I think this is a  very  'female' act.

I don't know why others cheat.  I only know the reasons why I cheated in the past.  The first time the moment got away from me and by the time I realized what I was doing, I felt it was too late to stop.  I honestly hated myself for that one.  The second time, I had full knowledge of what I was doing.  It was my conscious choice to cheat.  I just didn't care at the time.  The third time I only count as a technicality because he thought it was cheating.  We never made a commitment to each other and I felt I could do whatever I want with whomever I want.  His ideas were that he could do whatever he wanted with whomever he wanted but I had to remain completely faithful regardless.

All three of these times were more than 10 years ago (I was 20 during the one I consider a technicality).  My views of relationships have changed since then.  I know I will never cheat again.  And cheating is a dealbreaker for me.  The way I look at relationships now, I feel compelled to be completely open and honest.  If I have desire for another, I will tell my current partner.  In fact, I happen to be in an open relationship now.  My partner also regularly sees another woman, and occasionally dates a couple others.  We all know this and are fine with this.  Our relationship works for us.  And if either I or the other woman decide we'd like to see someone else, we are free to as long as we are honest with our new partner as well as our current.  There is no room for cheating in our relationship.

Same for both. Cheaters want to get someone other than their spouse or partner emotionally involved with them. They don't have to leave their present relationship without having another waiting. They have got to have SOMEONE there.
