  1. When they reach the age of 65. o

  2. If they have a work or personal pension they don't get the state pension until 65

  3. depends if you mean government (state pension) which is determined by the government at what age you can draw your pension. Or private investor pension, in which case you can usually nominate your prefered age at which you want it.

  4. No the UK state Pension is paid at 65 for men  and 60 for women born on or before 5 April 1950. The State Pension age for women will increase gradually from 2010, so that by 2020 it will be 65 for both men and women

  5. no its 65 i believe

  6. Absolutely!

  7. No at 65 unless they took private pensions.

  8. I would assume it depends on why they've retired. I know a couple of men that have retired before 65, due to ill health. They get their company pension and I believe at least one gets state pension too, he's unable to work ever again. The other however is still working, just not in the same field, so he only gets his company pension.

  9. from the state? no - private pension - possibly

  10. The state pension is 65 and not before, but if one has a private pension he can claim it at 60 but will not get the full amount as if he would at 65.

  11. A man cannot get a state pension at 60 - minimum age is 65 . He may get a private /occupational pension depending on the scheme rules.

A man retiring at 60 may be eligible for Pension Credit to supplement his income.

  12. The current age for men to receive a state pension is 65 although there are different rules if it concerns a private pension.

Your best option is to consult your private pension provider.

  13. Not from the state.

The current retirement age for men for State Pension is 65.From 6 April 2020, the State Pension age for both men and women will be 65. The state pension age for both men and women is to increase from 65 to 68 between 2024 and 2046, with each change phased in over two consecutive years in each decade. T

A man might get a private pension earlier then this if his  pension scheme allows for early retirement, or as in certain careers the retirement age may be lower like the armed forces.
