  1. More.

  2. Men have more rights

  3. Not a chance. Women are princesses that can do no wrong and if she does make a "mistake" it's because a man made her do it. Men are evil monsters who can do no good, despite all of our forefather's inventions, and who should be punished for every minor offense in the most extreme manner.

    Look at family court.

Look at marriage and divorce law.

Look at general crimes. We commit the same crime but men receive more jail time. Why?

  4. That's a very good question.

My answer is that both in many paradigms and legal systems, women and men have equal rights.

What I think you are asking is: ''Are men's rights and women's rights equally respected/enforced?''.

To this my answer is: Generally, women are still overwhelming disadvanted and unfairly treated compared to men. But there are some (not many) instances where women are advantaged compared to men.

  5. Check out the gender of board members of corporations. When you see more women than men, you will know that women have more rights. Until then, men have more rights.

  6. No.

Men just have the so called HUMAN RIGHTS

Women have WOMENS RIGHTS, HUMAN RIGHTS and many more

  7. If you can find a man who has, on his own, the right to decide not to become a parent after conception or that women are legally mandated to sign up for selective service and a recently passed law that is aimed at Violence Against Men and affirmative action regulations aimed at benefiting men and equal sentencing in criminal convictions and anything close to 50% of fathers in divorce and never-married situations being named as either "equal parent" or "primary parent" and an equal number of women working dirty and dangerous jobs etc., then you'd have a reason to question which s*x has more rights.

For every right any given man has, any given woman has the same plus some extra that are withheld from men by law, courts and society.

The answer is absolutely, unequivocally NO!

  8. No. Men cannot be pregnant or menstruate.

  9. they have about the same rights, maybe a bit more, but they definitely have more privileges. One of the biggest ones being that they don't have to worry about their rights (to their own bodies, to appropriate medical care) being taken away by lawmakers.

ANDRE: in case you havent noticed, draft laws have changed to include women, and even now women arent out in high risk combat positions because the army thinks they cant do it because (you guessed it!) they are sexist. Just because it seemingly benefits someone does not make it good for them because we are still not treated like full humans.

also, warren farrell as a source is like me posting feminist blogs as a source. Its also one person, when all other evidence is to the contrary, which is not good science.

  10. only when it comes to children do they have rights over a male out side that we are equal in our basic rights under the constitution.

  11. Usually equal, but nowadays, some women are getting more and more rights. Now they are like queens.

  12. no, women are treated as princesses and men have to endure and suffer like men.

  13. Bluestar, in particular, just has NO idea of what shes talking about. Lets look:

"they have about the same rights, maybe a bit more, but they definitely have more privileges. One of the biggest ones being that they don't have to worry about their rights (to their own bodies, to appropriate medical care) being taken away by lawmakers."

Really ? Has that person never heard of *being drafted to fight in a ear* ? Has that person no clue that they draft you for your body, and that body has far less rights than any women in the last 500 years has had ? I would say that *staying alive* is the first human right, and, if you don't have that one, as no drafted soldier even has, then thats proof that men are considered, and always have been considered to be The Disposable s*x, with fewer rights and privileges than women.

As another poster has said, women get NON medical and NON biological legal rights/privileges to unilaterally and post natally, void all their parental obligations. Men don't have this

Equal Right, among many others. So, its also clear that women have MORE rights and FEWER obligations than men.

Women routinely criticise men for not earning more $$$. Yet, when we look, we find that 98% of all stay at home spouses are women. Plus, "Often cited, for example, was a study of Stanford MBAs. 95 % of the men were working full time while only 38% of the women were."

Oh, to those who want to try to say "Theres no draft now":

MEN (My emphasis) who do not register could be prosecuted and, if convicted, fined up to $250,000 and/or serve up to five years in prison. In addition, men who fail to register with Selective Service before turning age 26, even if not prosecuted, will become ineligible for:

    Student Financial Aid

    U.S. Citizenship

    Federal Job Training

    Federal Jobs

What About Women and the Draft?

While women officers and enlisted personnel serve with distinction in the U.S. Armed Forces, women have never been subject to Selective Service registration or a military draft in America.

The answer is clear. As I said.

  14. No, they don't. In today's society "men's rights" are subjugated to "women's rights".

Which begs the question ... What are "rights"? Are they just socio-legal constructs or are there such things as "natural" rights?
