Question:

Do men make plans around 'the one' if they think she is 'the one?'?

my bf has had a hard time deciding about his future. He finally decided to go into the Air Force, but hasn't signed the paperwork yet. Then yesterday he told me he had an interview for the Nat'l Guard today. This is different; it would allow him to stay in the area. He didn't tell me about it until I asked. He has told me he wants to marry me and is waiting for me to make up my mind. The other day he said something like, "you know, I could buy a house and we could get married and move in" and I said, "But what about the AF?" and he said, "Well, the paperwork's not signed yet..." and then the conversation trailed somewhere else.

My question is, what's he thinking? Is he procrastinating the paperwork because of me? Is this like his 'second choice?' and do men really change their plans that much for a woman?

Opinions, please?

  1. It could be.........why don't u talk to him?

  2. Sounds to me like if you take too long to decide or say no, he's going to move on with his life. (depending on your answer he may not have a reason to stay local)

He's willing to make changes to include you, but not going to wait forever.

  3. sounds like you need to make a decision about your future with him.

He obviously is prepared to make accomdationst to be with YOU.

sht or get off the pot...as they say

  4. I think men do change their plans for women.  My boyfriend seems to be doing something somewhat similiar to yours regarding a job in another town - he is picking the town based on my hometown being nearby and also he is going to wait a year before we move so that I can get an additional year in at my job.  So... I think they do make decisions based on that.  Your guy sounds great - why not marry the man!? ;)
