Do men really get paid more than women?

and what are the circumstances? what jobs do men get paid more than women? is it illegal? it should be!

awhile ago maybe like early 1900s most women stayed at home and if they did work it would be in very low paying jobs

so i think that trend kind of continued but women defenitly are treated equal now

There have been laws to prevent that in most cases. The problem is that a lot of women don't get the same chances to be promoted that a man might have. Then again, the best times in this country were when a man worked and the woman stayed home and helped the kids, it was a simpler time and everyone had more control over their lives.

No, they don't.  However, men tend to work longer hours, and don't take time off to have kids.  Therefore, they make more money over time.
