  1. No.  I think it has to do with the hormones getting out of whack in a woman after giving birth.

  2. Actually men can suffer from post partum depression.  They may not go through it the same way the mother does.  Men and women have different ways of going through this.  Women's hormones are all out of sorts for a couple of weeks usually.  Men, however, tend to think more of "How am I going to provide for my family now."  Also women are generally so wrapped up in taking care of the baby that they forget about the man.  This can also lead to that type of depression for the man.  I happen to work with families that have this type of problem.

  3. according to this website, no, because it is caused by the woman's hormone changes after giving birth so a man would not be effected.

  4. no, only the women, because their hormones levels are out of whack.  however men can have sympathy symtomss

  5. Dad's depression comes from lack of sleep.

  6. I guess they can, its a big lfe change for both the mother & father, jsut b/c he didnt give birth doesnt change the fact that everything for him changes too

  7. no, but htey can be deperssed cause there life has changed also.  but not the same kind of deperssion as we do after we have a baby.
