Do men wear a jockstrap for soccer?

Is it necessary? If so where can i get one for really cheap?

  1. Without question, all the guys on my team wear cups and jocks.  Why worry about getting pounded in the junk?  Tried compression shorts with a cup, but the cup moves around too much.  A traditional jockstrap with cup pouch, seems to hold the cup in place, much better.
