  1. I do not know. All I do know is that I used to use a mouse and now prefer the touch pad. I think it is up to the individual. Best of Luck

  2. If you stay in front of your computer for a long period of time, then YES it will give you a carpal tunnel!

There are many things you can do to prevent it. Exercising is recommended, but I strongly encourage you to start wearing an ELBOW BRACE on your elbow (It places a pressure on your epicondyle)!

Although there are many good elbow braces out there - as far as quality, comfort, and prices are considered - Serola Gel Arc Elbow Brace is the best one for your case. Couple years ago, I used to type a lot in front of a PC and would get Carpal Tunnel. Then, I heard about this elbow brace made by Serola Biomechanics from a co-worker. Since I started wearing the elbow brace, I never had any forearm pains. It worked for me!

Visit the manufacturer's website for more info, in fact, you can directly buy from them at: http://serolabelt.com/gel-arc-elbow-brac...

Hope it helps, good luck to you!

  3. It is fairly well established that the standard PC mouse causes carpal tunnel syndrome. This is why there are so many alternatives to the traditional mouse. Select one that is more comfortable for you and also one that can be operated by either hand so you can switch hands throughout the day. This should help you.
