Do moisture beads work for long term watering? I have a green thumb, and just moved to the high desert?

I don't really know,but I would suspect they would evaporate too quickly in high heat.But you don't indicate whether you mean for inside or outside?If you want a handy gadget for delayed water feeding;try an upturned plastic bottle(soda) fill with water and quickly drive it into the soil.As the soil dries it leaks the water out.A big bottle will last about two weeks.


  2. water crystals mixed with a good quality potting mix or with the soil in your garden would definitely help. Also mulch around your plants. If you can cover the root area, even with large pebbles, this will also help to keep your plants in good health.
