  1. yes, after 90 days of purchase


  2. It's usually printed right on the front of the money order.  Many sources sell them so it's possible there are different expirations.  Probably none would be valid after 6 months.

  3. If the money order is not used or cashed within a year of the purchase date there is a non-refundable service charge usually. It should state on the back of the customer copy (purchasers yellow copy). It all depends on where you purchased it and by state I do believe. And the one I bought states there is then a charge per month after the first year not cashed.
