  1. Im not really sure, but i would think more people would die at the beach because of the currents. I dont know just a guess.

There are many more risks swimming in the seas, rivers, canals or any other open water areas than in pools which are supervised by life-guards.  Youngsters and adults who are non-swimmers face higher risk swimming alone in pools, so ensure there are always a couple or more swimmers around who can offer help when there is trouble.

    Best approach for anyone going near water, is to know how to swim. And learning in the pool is many times easier than elsewhere, due to currents, uneven bottom, poisonous or dangerous marine creatures.
