Do mosquitoes have noses?

I mean when they are drinking blood.... do they breath out of their nose while they drink or do they take oxygen out of the blood?

  1. No they don't have noses. They get the oxygen out of the blood that they suck.


  2. Insect anatomy is totally different of yours and mine.  If you think about breathing they do it very different, because they don´t have lungs. They have a system of tubes and channels connected to small openings along they body, where air is streaming in and out when they move. These are called trachea and are the common breathing system in all insects and spiders. But they are able to smell you. With their legs.

    A nose like yours they don´t have and they don´t need.
