  1. Every time I have visited America I have been bombarded with questions about our royal family, they couldn`t get enough.

I bet if they saw this morning`s trooping of the colour they would have been even more envious.  There`s nothing else like it in the world.

Many people are quick to find fault with this country but, truly, we have much to be proud of.

  2. I am American and am extremely interested in the goings-on of the UK Royals, and am not the only one.People interested in society and history are quite interested. It depends on the social background of the American as well--the "Town and Country" set,the equestrienne set,the Lily Pulitzer set, people read foreign publications like Paris Match,Point de Vue, English Vogue,Tattler,English Hello and Harper's/Queens know more about the royals than do those more interested in race cars,football,baseball...it depends on the person,so it's safer not to make generalizations about all Americans and what their interests are.

  3. not in day-to-day life.

if there's news, some/many might watch, but few would notice if we never heard about her again.

  4. They d**n well better care

  5. Probably more than we'd care to admit. Because even being a democracy,if you will, Americans are very class-conscious and the closest thing to royalty we have are movie stars and other celebrities

  6. Couldn't care less if ya paid me mate. Although I do believe that she was behind the murder of Diana

  7. i personally do not,..however perhaps someone of English decent may..

  8. I think of her as any well known person . I don't either like or dislike her . She's just someone who pops up in the news now and then .

  9. She seems like a nice lady, but politically doesn't have much effect on Americans.

  10. I'm an American and I have a friend who's British (English) when George Bush (yuck) called the queen a "She" her mother dropped the remote to the TV. They thought it was a serious insult. American english uses she all the time i thought it was rude of him but didn't care that much he's an idiot.

Americans don't really care that much about her to us she is just a nice old (no insult) lady. We did LOVE princess Diana! (we sometimes think her husband killed her)

  11. In an historical and tabloid sense, yes. The Elizabeth movies, for instance, had great success in the U.S.
