Yes, I just visited Chicago, Philly, Denver and Rapid City, all were OK.  Finding a space to "recharge" or plug-in was a challenge.

Most medium to large airports have wi-fi access point available. Be careful as some predators will setup their laptops to act as an access point to lure you into connecting and possibly accessing the data you transmit, i.e. credit cards, bank account info, etc. ask the airport personnel what the name of their wi-fi access is and ONLY connect to that specific one. NOTE: that not all wi-fi access areas are free and a connection fee may be required before you can surf the internet.
