  1. In short,yes............ ;)

  2. I have heard that they do.

  3. I've been in a quite strong earthquake (5.9) and I didn't notice it. Maybe it happens sometimes but not always.

  4. Some do.

  5. No.

Only when there areTSUNAMIS (which are caused by earthquakes) or VOLCANIC ERUPTIONS (which will cause earthquake). Animals can not predict or feel that an earthquake is to happen. To date, there is nothing in this world which can predit earthquakes.

Animals feel a tsunami is to come because (many) they can hear much better than humans; are more sensitive in the changes in water levels and tidal movement.

They feel that there is a volcanic eruption to take place because of the slight changes in temperature and there are sounds coming from the inside of the volcano.

We humans will not be aware of all these because of our inferior senses (hearing, touch). And it's not in our instinct because nature (caves, trees) is not where we live. To say, a dweller of one's home knows best about his own home.
