Do most celular phones work in Puerto Rico ?

I have a Verizon and I would like to know if my phone would still work over there.

They most certainly do. I have Verizon also, got it in Memphis last year and I haven`t had any problems.

Here we have companies such as Open, AT&T, Sprint, and many more. Here Verizon changed to Claro. They changed the name but the service is the same.

  Now, there are areas that do not get signal too well, such as the mountain areas. My son live in Aguas Buenas in the middle of mountains (beautiful there with 3 natural cascades), but the signal there on all celphones no matter the company, is bad. But the coasts, and towns not in the center or mountains do get perfect signal.
