  1. In the United States, about 70% of all high school graduates will go on to some sort of post-secondary education. Of those students, only about 50% will get a degree. The subjects studied vary widely, from medical students to heating/AC repair to liberal arts.  


  2. Nowadays, definitely. My class (2007), like, 75%-(ish) went to some college; 6%-(ish); 1% -(ish) armed forces.

    People major in a plethora of different subjects.
