  1. No...Some use a fan in their homes when it becomes too hot. The heat in Johannesburg is bearable because it is dry heat, and not dense with humidity. For most people, opening up the windows suffices to allow a breeze to cool the house.

  3. No Johannesburg is not as hot and humid as Durban. Most people do not have them as they just cannot afford them. Most hotels have them.

  4. no not really...it rarely gets that hot, A few open windows work well...or a fan.

    I haven't used a fan in years...i just take a swim to cool of.

    JHB is not that humid...it may be different in Durbs.I personally would not be able to live there...too hot humid and sticky!!
