    I know plenty of people who still have no idea that there is a difference between a 'want' and a 'need'.

  5. you need food and water...everything else is a luxury.

  6. In third world countries need only becomes want when there is nothing to eat. In western countries want overshadows need when one has more than they need. I am certain that people know the difference but those with no idea of need have little idea of what want actually may be.

  8. Wanting something and needing something are two different things.  When one person wants something; he/she wishes to have something to suit themselves.  When one person needs something; he/she needs whatever to help them in a certain way.
