Do most places in Paris take credit cards?

I am going to Paris on Friday, and I would prefer not to carry traveler's checks or too much cash (Euros). I'm sure I will need cash in some places, but can I use my Mastercard/Visa at the bigger restaurants, attractions, etc.?

Yes of course!  Don't worry.  Sure try to have some cash with you for small stuff.  But you can use your card anywhere in Paris.

Definitely yes ! Restaurants, cinema, museum, attractions... accept credit card almost everywhere in Paris.

Yes, they all accept cards, big and small restaurants, most shops, etc... Usually there is a minimum payment which is around 10/15 Euros. ATM all around accept those cards too so you can get some cash everywhere.
