Do most students study abroad alone?

Do most people study abroad with a group of students or a friends or do people usually go by themselves? I plan to study in Sydney and I am just curious how others do it.

There are opportunities to study abroad in a group, but you should be sure of what you really want. You'd gain much more experiences and you would learn faster and better if you went to Sydney on your own...

It may be cheaper, but finding and joining a group without any help is quite complicated.
