Im building a HTPC (my friend will actually build the PC). I am looking at an Intel motherboard, brand new, reasonably cheap. Do most motherboards have a built in video / graphics card? I will buy a TV tuner for it.

  1. What in the world happened to the Fatherboard....yeah.....thats what I'D like to know...Anyways, many have "integrated" cards, which is cheap, but if you like performance it rots and you cannot upgrade an integrated board. Hope this helps.

  2. don't get an intergrated one, go to Newegg.com, you can build a computer just the way you want it and at a reasonable price!

  3. some do and some don't you should find out before you buy the thing

  4. Unless it says in the motherboard description that it has onboard video chipsets, then you have to buy a graphics card for it.

  5. The older motherboards have a higher chance of having a built in graphic card, newer version expect you to buy your own. So for this Intel motherboard, I'd say no, if it's so new, of course it doesn't hurt to ask your friend.
