Dude, bikes change gear with the left foot.

It was over 100 years ago I think since bikes had hand gear levers. Damilar Benz's first bike was 2 speed with a hand lever.

Motorcycle racers shift gear with their left foot, as most other riders do, except for a select few who ride old 'classic' bikes that were made with hand gear levers (some old Harleys, for example).  These are known as 'suicide shifts', becaus the rider had to take his left hand off the handlebars to change grar.

Interestingly, Racing bikes have what is called a 'racing gear shift', which means that, unlike road bikes which shift up from gear to gear by the rider lifting the lever with his foot, racing bikes change up gear by the rider pressing down on the lever.  Very confusing, if you ride both!  Some street bikes can be modified to a 'racing shift' by fitting a series of connections which reverse the action of the gear lever.
