  1. no, i do not think so. in singapore, average income range from SGD 700 (janitors) to SGD 4000 (most managerial level)

they earn anything from 900 (newbies), to 2.2 (seasoned)

but i guess in singapore is where your talent does not get the opportunity to shine in this field, because vehicle modifications are illegal, and regular checks are made on the vehicle, each time before the renewal of the road tax.

but if your workshop specializes in motorcycle customization, and does a really good job at it, then the pay should be at least decent.

  2. depends on what you're working on.....Good M/C mechanics can make $60K a year, ATV and dirtbike around $40K

    Good Luck

  3. Hey, not sure about the going rate but most of my mechanic friends work as an operator in a factory, you get paid more

  4. It is not uncommon for techs to make $60k per year and I know several that make more than $100k per year.  Harley shops pay more and have better benefits, on average.  Custom shops often pay very well, but don't offer as many extras.  Metric shops pay well, but slightly less than HD dealers.  HD shops usually charge a slightly higher hourly rate, which is the reason why their flat rate techs end up making more money than metric techs, on average.  Harley owners are also willing and able to pay more, and the Company knows it.
