  2. A motorcycle only needs turn indicators on it if it will be used on public roads (streets & highways). If it's an off-road (dirt only) bike then no it doesn't require indicators. That's why dual purpose bikes have indicators, for street riding while being able to go off-road also.

    If they were not provided by the maker when the motorcycle was new, they are not required.

    In my state, a motorcycle manufactured before Jan. 1st, 1973 is not required to have turn signals.

    We don't rely on telepathy. We use simple arm signals that are taught to every driver. It's not our fault they can't remember them.
