a yeah a lot of movies are good but does anyone wonder they send a wrong message about love. a lot of movies have a part or something about the man getting his true love even though that girl is married or they were divorced. i think if that person got married already they shouldnt try to go and steal her from another man like spiderman.

  1. I agree that all television/movies cause us to think unrealistically

  2. In a sense it sends the wrong image, but honestly movies that portray things like that are done so to instill hope in the general public.  If it were always bleak and dismal people would just get down and not strive for happiness.  It may sound silly just thinking about it, but there are aspects of movies that give me goose bumps from inspiration.  They can do the same thing for other emotions.

  3. in our modern society the divorce rate is sky high and few people ever find someone they feel is perfect for them. but when people go to the movies, they want to be cheered up, or they go with a date and want to see something that would make them both happy to be with each other. they dont want to see a reflection of their own reality, or else they might as  well stay at home. thats why movie love is so fake, cos its there to please couples and dates and be inoffensive, and make people happy by showing them a fantasy that they can believe in but really which doesnt exist

  5. My main problem is that it sends this message that love is going to be this wonderful, perfect thing--something that's so perfect and fulfilling that they aren't satisfied by 'normal' love.  They want the 'movie' love--a love that isn't likely--where after the first couple of dates you sleep together and are willing to die for one another.

Read "s*x, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs" by Chuck Klosterman.  His first chapter covers this:  "I do think it's a perfect illustration of why almost everyone I know is either overtly or covertly unhappy.  Coldplay songs deliver an amorphous, irrefutable interpretation of how being in love is supposed to feel, and people find themselves wanting that feeling for real." --pg. 4

  6. Movies warp minds into looking for some ideal scenario, well it ain't always like the movies, and it may lead to disappointment. But from what I've experienced, h**l sometimes life writes even better screen plays.

  7. All's fair in love and war.

  8. this is true! i really hate when kids see things like that because if their parents are no longer together they expect for mom & dad to get back together like the family in the movie.

  9. yes true a lot
