  1. It is. It gives McCain the edge over the Democrats with the distrustful Hillary supporters and fence sitting Hillary supporters.

The Democrats should have given Hillary the nomination and let her choose Obama as VP.

  2. I hope so

  3. Let's put it this way.  I think of myself as an independent/raised Republican and now that Palin is on the ticket, I'm definitely interested in finding out more and thankful for his selection.

  4. I now feel confident that McCain will win only one state--Alaska.

  5. this really got me back into the republcan ticket, I admire her, she is very down to earth and will not back down on her issues.  I've heard interviews with her and never considered her for VP, when I started hearing the rumors I got really pumped.

This will most likely make me pull the lever for McCain!

  6. I'm not sure.  I still think this election is about whether people want Obama or not.  It is his to win or lose..

  7. Winning ticket to Alaska local government maybe.

McCain is toast. He may as well have chosen his wife to be his VP.

  8. Obama has more of the people's interest in mind....and more people....like, all the minority races and then some...so he will definately take it.

  9. yep.

  10. I believe that McCain is by far the best choice for the presidency, not Obama.

Obama has little to no experience in anything except taking bribes, from what I've read. His choice for vp, Joe Biden, puts the democratic party in one of the most liberal modes in history, which is a really bad thing for this country.  If Obama had wished to clinch the november elections he should have chosen a woman as a running mate.

McCain is very experienced in the ways of DC, and the ways of the world and posses the qualities required to make a great president, capable of leading this country out of the economic quagmire it has found itself in, mostly due to the non action of the democratic congress on non-drilling issues, specifically Pelosi.

Palins experience in the executive branch of her home state and as a mayor does lend confidence that she would understand what is expect of her and have the capability of performing her duties as vp.   She not only brings this experience to the fore-front, but she also brings youth.

By choosing Palin as a running mate, McCain has outwitted, once again, his rival, Obama, who chose not to choose a woman as a running mate.

    McCAIN/PALIN ALL THE WAY!

  11. Yes.

  12. It's his only shot. He has made history. It will be a close race.

  13. No!! OBAMA IS GONNA TAKE IT!!

  14. Winning ticket, YES!

    For Obama-Biden!

  15. Aside from the OBVIOUS attempt to get some female votes, I don't think this VP selection really adds anything to McCain's campaign. No one outside of Alaska really knows who she is or what she stands for.

  16. I'm not a center-right Republican, I'm a tradtional Conservative Libertarian Republican and this is a terrible ticket. Just like the Obama/Biden ticket is a terrible ticket.

  17. This democrat voting for McCain couldn't be happier!  Now I can vote for MCCain with a smile on my face.  Yes, great choice by McCain.  It is a winning ticket.  From what I have read, every one, reps and dems, all like her.

  18. I don't care who wins now, just as long as its not someone who won't solute our flag or support or troops, or take our guns away! hint (Obama-Biden  =  Osama-Binladin)

  19. Palin is already in the pocket of the oil companies, her state gets 1/3 of revenue from oil money and she's sending out checks for $3200 to every resident of the state. Sounds more like a liberal thing to me.

  20. It seems as though McCain gave us the change Obama promised.

  21. I think so.  Palin has almost all of the appeal that Obama and Hillary did.  Young and a woman.  Now if only she were black.

  22. Nope - what a stupid choice.

  23. Palin turned out to be a good pick. I'm still pissed though that he didn't choose Mitt Romney. Though she is unknown to most Americans she seems to have a fairly decent political record.

  24. Not after his selection of vp unfortunately

  25. is a very solid pick by McCain

she is the only one of the candidates on either side with executive experience
