Do nerves regenerate? 10 points?

im 16 years old, and my nerve (my ulna) is damaged a and its been a year since the injury. nowadays i go to physical therapy everyday. but i still experience this burning, tingling sensation in my hand, shoulder, elbow, preety miuch my whole entire arm. my arm is also weak and im wondering do nerves heal/regenerate... thank you.

  1. Nerve damage of any type is VERY VERY slow to heal.

    Generally speaking nerves do NOT regenerate.  But you would only need to be concerned with that if ythe nerve had been CUT.

    If the nerve was CRUSHED or STRETCHED you may be continuing to have problems, and you may have residual problems for the rest of your life.

    Like any other part of your body, continued use and physical therapy will improve the situation, but recovery from nerve damage is really slow.
