Do new vehicles come with air filters already installed into the air conditioning?

I have a 2007 Ford Ranger. Would this have come with an air filter of some kind built into the air conditioning, or is that an accessory that must be purchased and installed independantly?

I'm pretty sure all modern cars have a cabin air filter. As for where you access it for replacement, beats me.
