Do normal sophomore classes have summer homeworK in high school??

im going to have a lot going on during my sophomore year so i want to switch two of my honors classes before school starts to normal. my honors english class had summer reading homework. does that mean the normal english sophomore classes had summer reading homework too. and will the school let me switch because i think if they make me go i will fail and it will be too much for me. please give advice. Thank you.

  1. I think it depends on your school.  However, my son's school only had summer homework for honors classes (and maybe AP classes).  NOTE:  If you did the summer reading for the honors class and manage to get changed to the regular English class, talk to the teacher in the regular class.  You might be able to do a book report or essay on the summer reading and get some extra credit.  It is always nice to have some extra credit just in case you need it later.


  2. none of our high school classes have summer homework.  if you want to switch and it's fine with your parents, the school can't stop you.
