at the first-class level.
The 30-year-old cricketer looks a much improved bowler as he is consistently bowling at more than 140 Km/Hr with accuracy, extracting maximum bounce from the pitches.
Irfan was expensive in the later stages of the first One Day International (ODI) of the three-match series at Chennai; however, his opening spell was influential in Pakistan’s victory, as the lanky pacer did not give many runs and clean

However, the cricketer from Gaggu Mandi is prone to injuries, which is the reason why he has so far played just 35 first-class matches.
While speaking exclusively to Pakpassion, the former first-class cricketer and Irfan’s coach expressed that the left-armer needs to be handled with care by the selectors as too much cricket will hamper his body.
“I think that Irfan’s workload needs to be managed very carefully by the selectors and the management,” Nadeem said.
Irfan’s mentor, who himself has taken more than 250 first-class wickets, feels that the tall fast bowler should be used only in Test cricket and T20s, asking the selectors to rest him from the ODI format.
“I would urge them to only select Irfan for Test cricket and Twenty20 internationals and not select him for one day internationals or there is every chance that he will suffer from burnout,” he added. “Irfan is much stronger now than
when he started playing first class cricket, but I think that by excluding him from fifty over cricket you can get the best out of him in the twenty over format and in Test cricket.”
The upcoming tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 is going to be a huge test for Irfan as the pitches there will be conducive to his style of bowling.
