  1. I would imagine not--they're meant to be cooked.

I really do not know the answer, but usually it's a safe bet that yes, there is almost always a loss of something when it is heated.  But, although the process is a trade secret, I assume that this product has already been heat treated to inactivate the yeast.  The nutritional value has been proven to lessen when exposed to light (and I will assume air too).  Keep it in a jar in the cupboard away from light.
