Absolutely.  The pollution is moving further out from urban areas every day.  Every drop of oil that spills at sea ends up at the bottom of the ocean attached to something that will weigh it down!  Even air pollution affects water, google "NOAA" for more information.

They already are,... each coast line in the US has it's degree of pollution

Esp the heavy populated cities, NY Miami Southern Calif Corpus Christi and so on,.......................... sad huh?
