Do oceans offer excellent or poor prospects for helping solve the world food problem this century ? Why?

I'm afraid poor due to overfishing.

excellent because most fish are K reproducers which mean they give birth to hundreds of young (eggs) in this case and then leave them.  This means there is no parental guidance and still most of the offspring survive in large numbers.  THese large numbers can be used as food sources.  THe oceans are a huge source of food as lojng as we use wisely there wouldnt be a problem
