Do old malibu lights - cost more in power than newer ones?

I have old metal and glass malibu lights. As I am cleaning what appears to be a mason jar (glass portion of the lights), it occurs to me that these old things may be more costly to run than the newer plastic lights.

They are low voltage anyways. They aren't that big of a deal.
