I am so disgusted. I know its summer time but I am freaking out! We live in a house that was built in 1920 (we rent) and it seems like there is always a bug in here! Flies, bees, mosqeuitos, nats and what looks like giant ants. I am a clean fanatic as I have two kids and always am cleaning after them. I try my hardest to get rid of them and they keep coming back! Do newer homes have this problem? We are in Oregon so its not the humitity thing. But i am scared of them, so I need to do something! Thanks for your helps. Oh..how is California with bugs? We have been thinking of moving to a NEW house in S. Cali but I would like to know if they have insect issues..

  1. old homes arent sealed off as good as newer homes! so yes, more insects

but cali isnt bad bug-wise like most other states

  2. Regardless of how old a home is susceptible to insects.

Part of proper control is the use of eco friendly insecticides. Most home owners/Landlords don't keep up with this yearly task.Your first line defence is a good program outside the home, insects hide outside waiting for a chance to come inside.

    Good Luck
