  1. Yh if youre from UK or US or canada (there may be others but i dont know). The government will pay you funds and stuff for your achivement. You could become quite famous if youve done something truely amazing.

Michael phelps was granted $1 million from Speedo after winning his 8th gold.

In the UK if you achieve 2 gold medals or more then you become Knighted! Hence your name will always start with "Sir" or "Dame"

  2. The olympic comittee doesn't offer cash prizes to the winners. Just the medals.

However, many countries will award their athletes with cash prizes which can vary widely. For example, the United States pays $25,000 US for gold, $15,000 for silver and $10,000 for bronze.

Also, winners of popular events such as gymnastics will probably get much more from sponsors, product endorsements, special appearances, etc. But endorsements aren't guaranteed. In addition to winning, you also have to be photogenic, personable and fit the "all american" image.

  3. In Italy yes.

    140000 E gold

    70000  E silver

    35000 E bronze

these are gross values, taxes eat as much as 50%

    ciao

the announcer last night said that michael phelps is now a millionare because of all the gold medals plus endorsments .
