Aside from the deposit, do online booking charge you in your credit card the entire balance when you fail to show in that hotel??

  1. In Europe it is usual for no-shows to be charged for the first night. Quite reasonably the hotel does this because by the time the hotel realises you are a no-show it's to late to re-book the room.

    It can vary so read the small print.

  2. Yes they can charge you in full, if you have made a reservation and failed to give them sufficient notice (as would have pointed out in their small print, and also in large print).

    It is only fair. They reserved the room for you, you don't show up and they have little or no chance of selling it to another client in so little time.

  3. varies from hotel to hotel. most charge u the whole package if u book and dont go. u might wanna get trip insurance if u might have to stay home if sumthing happens. if ur late check-in, it might be a small fee

  4. I booked Italian hotels online for my 4week holiday. They all said that a night's tariff would be charged for no-show.
