  1. No - outside zoos, there were no hyenas.  There were large, carnivorous marsupials, however, such as the thylacine.


  2. no.. they always lived in africa

  3. Only in zoos; hyenas are placental mammals, which were virtually unknown in Australia until we silly apes arrived.
