  1. Good Q.. I asked about THERRIEN earlier.... only time will tell what the story is. WHO KNOWS... maybe SHERO has some master plan up his sleeve and JAGR and Bertuzzi and Demitra (or Naslund or Huselius or Shanny) are all signing with the PENS..... only time will tell.

There are lots of players still out there that can make PITT a TOUGH team to face next year, and the CORE of the younger guys are still there. Most of their losses were role players and Rentals! TIME WILL TELL

  2. "i Heard that alot of vet plays do not like him."

Ohh, really? Who told you that---EKLUND?

    Evgeni Malkin - 5 YEARS

    Pascal Dupuis - 3 YEARS

    Mark Eaton - 2 YEARS

    Brooks Orpik - 6 YEARS

Why would these players re-sign for MORE than ONE YEAR if they hated CROSBY, COACH THERRIEN, or even PITTSBURGH? Who cares who they don't "like"? If they can be professional and play to win, personal differences should be set aside.

Ryan Malone and Marian Hossa were the Pens' two biggest losses. The rest of the players they've "lost"? Three 4th-liners, a back-up-to-the-back-up goalie, and they've probably "lost" an enforcer because they signed a different one (for cheaper!).

If this season isn't the Pens' season to win the Cup... they have Crosby and Malkin for 5 and 6 more seasons respectively, they have Ryan Whitney and Brooks Orpik for 5 more seasons, and they're working out a deal with Marc-Andre Fleury this offseason. The Pens have nothing but talent and time.

  3. That doesn't make sense...But I did hear Therian is an ******, and that drove players away...He does look like a really slimy, greasy character, doesn't he?

  4. #1 Croby took way less than he could have made. He took less so that the Pens would not be totally out of cash.

#2 Its the new/salary cap NHL its the nature of the game. Good teams will have to invariably get rid of some talent and the teams not as good will be there to pick it up.

I think most teams have one player who gets paid big as a franchise player. I heard you made up the fact or whoever told you that made up that fact about not liking him. And, if they don't, they are either jealous or it is some other reason they don't like him.

  5. No, who wouldn't want to play with two of the top offensive players in the league?  This issue is nothing more than a matter of money.  The Pens have too much talent maturing at the same time.  They are in a catch 22.  They drafted high repeatedly and in turn, made their selections pay off.  It has been said repeatedly, even a few times on here, that the Penguins were going to get to this point sooner or later.  It happened sooner than I expected.

  6. Idk..what vets are  talking about?

    Do you have a link?

  7. i've seen a lot of vets actually say they think Crosby will be the next big hockey player in years to come. So i highly doubt that is the reason why people are leaving. Half the people we lost weren't even on a line with Crosby...

  8. my mom asked me that this morning

told her it wasnt mr hawty that was the problem its the coach and gm
