Question:

Do other readers here think that there has been an increase in natural weather disasters world-wide?

I'm just thinking about the recent three years - The Tsunami in Thailand, Katrina, the cyclone in Myanmar and now the earthquake in China. Additionally, the weather patterns appear more unpredictable and destructive. Is it too simplistic to blame it all on global warming trends due to the unrestrained burning of fossil fuels?

  1. Yes I Do ,,, I,ve been watching since the 1960,s ,,, Its probably prophesy being fulfilled,,, Looks like its gonna get worse ,,,

  2. Nope any student of history should be able to point out that EVERY decade has it's "weather disasters" world wide.

  3. you forgot to mention the earthquake that happen in Japan 2-3 times in the past weeks. i think the typhoon is cause by global warming and the earthquake is...d**n what is going on with the world. i think our planet is dying

  4. not to mention there has been 700 tornadoes between apr/may. I live in Oklahoma ive lived here for only about 4 years. last winter there was a huge ice storm.. most of our city was powerless... and there was inches of ice surrounding every thing. just a few weeks ago it was perfectly beautiful outside, only seconds untill baseball sized hail started hitting del city of oklahoma city and moved east.. tornadoes here have been crazy including many other states 819 total this year.

  5. I don't know if there have been more weather-related "disasters", but the media certainly does report everything as catastrophic.

As for tornadoes, it is the season for them...... nothing new.....but again.....the media has been doing a "Nancy Grace" (over-dramatizing) on everything in order to keep viewers/readers/listeners glued to their respective stations/newspapers.

Certainly..... there are weather-related phenomena that are destructive and all of us hate to hear of people suffering as a result of such..... but I have seen no significant increase...... other than the reporting.

  6. They are not a sign of "global warming" any more than when nothing abnormal weather wise is happening is a sign that global warming is not happening.

  7. hi!

We can say that an earthquake and a tsunami is an event due to Global warming or Climate Change.

Since an Earthquake is normal since the plates always move and e.i. now the earthquake.

While a tsunami is just also normal but it has to do something with water because now the forming of glacier in S.Pole and N.pole have been decreasing due to high C2O .

But Katrina was no the cyclone in Myanmmar!

But a cyclone may have a connection like the tsunami due to High water levels.

I am so worried about the loss of Fossil fuels by the near future.

  8. Sensationalism....more History Channel programs on "disasters", Nostradamus, Edgar Casey, Inca's.....

  9. No!!! It's just reported more. The earth goes in cycles. 10 years or so from now, they will be talking about global cooling. Just like they did 10-12 years ago.

  10. Funny thing is as our population increases, we actually are finding out about these storms more and more.  I wonder if back in the 1700's, how many tornados there were?  It's like asking if a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound?  The fact is that it does but there simply is nobody around to hear it.

I wonder how Earthquakes can even be remotely attributed to global warming?  I wonder how psunamis and hurricanes also.  I tried to warm a bowl of soup with some steam one day....  Well, it didn't work, so thinking that WE are warming the oceans is kind of like saying that the body heat of an ant can warm a house.

    Nice try though....

  11. Wake up Global Warming is a lie propagated by Gore. His movie is a lie .I am 77 and nature has always fought MAN.
