Do other teams who play the Pirates think they have an easy 3 or 4 wins?

I am a Pirates fan so i am interested to see your answers

to be completely honest with ya, when i find out who the next opponent is i don't go in saying we're gonna sweep or they're easy that much. Pro players might not do that either or the manager probably warns them not to underestimate teams.

Angels have both been roughed up by teams like the Red Sox and teams like the Royals.. you never know every team is capable of doing well and winning some games.

Pirates can play, I've seen em they have Mclouth, Wilson, Sanchez etc

p.s. I'm a big fan of Freddy Sanchez :)

As long as your team is good, playing the Pirates is a breath of fresh air. Or a sweep.

Say your team comes off a series with a tough contending team..the Pirates are a nice break.

I'm an Astros fan and I've never thought the Pirates were an easy 3 or 4 wins.  They're capable of playing very well at times, if not consistently, and have an exciting young corps of players - the LaRoche boys, Freddy Sanchez, Nate McClouth, Jack Wilson.  They're capable of good numbers - no such thing as an easy win... then again, I think Astros fans are just naturally uneasy.  ;)

That is the impression that I get. The Bucs gave up on their season when they traded their two best players in Bay and Nady. All they want to do now is get this season over with and regroup at the Winter Meetings for next season. I pretty much think you can stick a fork in them.....they're done. Wait til next year!

I am a big Pirates fan too man, and yeah im pretty sure thats the mentality of the teams that play them.  Oh well, at least PNC Park is an awesome place to watch a game.  I think the other teams admire the park more than they focus on playing the Pirates

I'd say now. Before they got rid of Nady and Bay they had one of the most potent outfields in the NL so they could score some runs against you.

Pretty much. That's what I think. I get excited when the Cards play the Pirates because that's easy. No offense, but the Pirates just aren't good. Maybe eventually though. :D

i was surprised to see another cards fan say that they like playing the pirates.  the pirates KILL US.  I think weve won like half our games with them, so no i dislike facing them.

I dont think so. These are professional baseball players so they will be competitive. Unfortunately, the Pirates are a small market team and it is difficult for them to sign top level free agents or pay their stars the pay raise they seek.

Great history....too bad they have fallen on these hard times.
