I am going there for my honeymoon, and I was wondering if my cell phone will work there. I am guessing it won't, but just wondering.

  1. It depends on your provider and if you have a gsm capable phone. I have AT&T and had no problem using my phone in St. Lucia and other countries. Sprint and verizon phones usually don't work outside the US.

  2. No....BUT, what you can do is...

If your cell phone is unlocked and uses a SIM card, you just go to the local cell phone store and get a pre-paid sim card to put in your phone.

Most of the time you'll find these stores by marinas as there are many people who live on their boats and go from port to port and just buy a new card for 20 bucks in each port.

Much cheaper then renting a phone, using a payphone or using the hotel long distance from your room phone  .

    Have a great honeymoon and

    Congrats on the wedding   :~]]
