Do our government makes us a bully?

Question

Why do we invade other countries? Think about it --do you like it when people came to your home unwelcomely?

Iraq war for example:

Truth be told that many Iraqi civilian die everyday. I believe at one time there was 67% unemployment in Iraq.

We don't even talk about American casualty and money we have spent there...

Well, if you think about it our tax dollars are being used for war. So in a way our government is forcing us to be the bullies. Even the people who don't support war are paying for the war with their tax dollars. 25% of your paycheck is going into tax dollars. 1/4 of the year you are working for free/for the government. What's crazy is that we provide these small countries with military equipment and then we go to war with them. It doesn't make any sense.  

Also, I believe the news only tells maybe 1/4 about what's really going on. If they told us everything, who knows how the public will react? The news rarely mentions mistakes because America is "always right" and is always portrayed in a good light.  It's sad because young American boys and girls are being glamorized as heros so they sign up, then they end up  losing their lives, not to mention the lives of innocent Iraqi civilians. No wonder why some foreigners don't like Americans - I don't blame them.

Our government glamorizes America through the media by instilling "American Pride" into it's audience. "American Pride" is not a bad thing, but before believing everything you see in the media do your research. Read books. Use more then one source. Ignorance is not bliss. Education is key. Before you take a side on anything make sure you research both sides. Don't jump into something by believing what comes out of someone's mouth.

Over the years America has lost its identity. Slowly but surely the constitution will be burned up and we won't even be living by it anymore. The founding fathers must be rolling in their graves. Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-American. I'm just anti-lies and PRO CONSTITUTION.

Don't even take MY word on this issue.

True. They believe that they wouldn't have this "war" if Americans weren't occupying. I always say how S****y this whole thing is. We break down their doors, invade their homes, and split their families.. Then we call them terrorists and extremists when they defend themselves.. Ask yourselves this, What would you do if they were invading us?? I'm pretty sure we can all agree that we would fight for our homes, families, and freedoms. I support the troops, but based on the vets I know, they all said they wish they would have known then what they know now.. Its really sad. Genocide...

I agree with you.  I hated it when those big planes smashed into our buildings killing all of those innocent people.  I think people should stay in their own country and not cause problems in other countries.
