Do our kids need the certeficate of us citizenship?

When we became us citizen,we got our certeficate of citizenship.Did our kids become automatically US citizen? They do not have us certeficate like we do.They were 9 and 10 years old when we aplied.

Are they us citizen now? Do they need certeficate of us citizenship?

  2. Yes, they need certificates.

  3. Your two children will still need to go through a naturalization process.  Currently, they have a right to be in the u.s. But once they reach age 18, they will technically be here illegally.

  4. Well, they would have normally been eligible to become citizens at the same time. It certainly wouldn't hurt to get the naturalization certificates for them. or you could file for US passports for them. that would also clarrify things for them. but if you don't get the certificates it may be difficult to proved they are citizens later on if the question comes up..
