I am working on a speech for class and I was trying to get some basic info before I start doing in depth research. Does anyone know what kind of over the counter meds (basic pills/aspirin/tylenol/sleeping aids) enhance the effects of alcohol (gets you drunker quicker to put it simply).

I'm not talking so much about beer and wine, but more of the hard liquor (rum/whiskey/vodka/tequila/etc).

Examples would be nice too.

  1. If tylenol is taken while drinking alcohol it can cause severe liver damage.

  2. What asprin, Ibuprofin does is thins your blood, so drinking while taking them increases your chance of bleeding out, so don't do it it's a really really bad idea. What are you researching exactly for speech?

    IMO, drink more liquor quicker?

  3. I know on nights that I take Walgreen's brand tylonal even hours before I start drinking, I don't remember a spec of the night. for some reason it impairs my memory more than any other night of drinking / binge drinking.
