Do packages continue travelling during weekends?

I ordered something and I was wondering if my package is still on the move on weekends.

All the major shipping companies, ex. fedex & ups, and the post office are closed on Sundays and holidays, so no business is done on those days. On saturdays those places are in business. When you order something the reason why they say 10-12 business days

(mon-Fri) is to cover themselves and the amount of time it will take them to get it out of their wharehouse because they don't work on Saturdays.
