Do parents not care what kids do (question for parents)?

See i'm a 15 year old guy. My parents don't care what i do when i do it as long as i'm home by 12 pm during school days and around 1pm during saturdays. As long as i get really good grades they don't hassle me. They don't argue, they don't pay attention. I play violent games like Grand theft auto my parents don't even know what that is. i told them it's a movie and my dad took me to buy the new gta 4 he didn't care what it was because he knows i won't go crazy. I drink, don't do drugs and am not going to fall under bad influence because i'm not easily suseptable to bad things. But are all parents like this? As long as your kids are doing great in school and you know they have a rich bright future ahead of them and do you not lift a finger and get in their way of enjoying their transition from childhood to adulthood?

Meaning your kid can do anythning as long as their safe and you know he's asleep by certain time and does great in school. Are you like my parents?

It's sort of like this for me, but not exactly. I am for the most part allowed to do what I wish. I ask before going somewhere, but that's more a courtesy than a requirement, and I am allowed to watch whatever movies and play whatever videos I want, as long as I am a good and responsible, do my chores, and get my school work done.

That being said, I definitely would NOT say that my parents don't care what I do. They take an interest in my life and listen when I tell them things. I don't lie to them because their trust is important to me, but then again I don't have to lie.

My parents guide me in everything, and are always there to help me. They care a great deal about everything to do with me, and are not adverse to pushing me if necessary.

I do have a lot of freedom, but it is not because my parents do not care, but rather because I have proven myself to be responsible time and time again.

I am very sorry for you that you don't believe that your parents care. That must be a terrible burden for you.

up to an extent i may be like your parents. I will let my kid do most things but the violent games and the drinking. and as long as he is doing good in school he will be able to stay out until the city crufew.

not all  parents are like this maybe if they dont care about u is maybe because they have a lot on there mind or something else. u should ask them to pay attention because if they dont pay attention then something could happen to u and drinking isnt good for kids

It sounds like they trust you......don't take that for granted......plus I think you mean 12 am and 1 am??? which in my book is a Little too late....

You should take some time and hang around your parents for awhile.  And see what happens.

I know a lot of parents are like that and with smart strong kids it works. A lot of parents are more protective, want to know where you are, what you're doing, and then there are control freaks who TELL the kid where they're going and what they're doing.

my parents are kinda like that. They don't bother me as long as I get good grades with straight A's.

Cause there hippies, they grew up in a time where being cool and stuff like that was daily living.
